Angela Byrnes, Owner

Angela Byrnes founded Southern Picnics in September 2020. She received a Bachelors degree in Writing and Literature from the University of Pittsburgh in 2011 and a Digital Media and Marketing Certification from Duke University in 2017. She has lived in Raleigh, North Carolina since 2017 and has set up more than 200 luxury picnics.

In addition to owning Southern Picnics, she serves as an SEO Team Lead at ROI Revolution, an eCommerce marketing agency in Raleigh, managing a team of Analysts and Content Specialists. Prior to Southern Picnics and ROI Revolution, Angela worked in the non-profit sector in marketing, communications, and event planning roles.

Angela is an avid antique collector and loves to go antiquing in her free time. She enjoys collecting picnic decor, vintage board games, and vintage Christmas decor.

Lily Salyer, Assistant Event Planner

Lily Salyer has served as an Assistant Event Planner at Southern Picnics since February 2023. She is also a student at North Carolina State University pursuing a degree in Public Relations.

Before Southern Picnics, Lily worked as an Event Coordinator at Party Like A Princess and was also a photographer for Denise Renee Photography.
