What to Know for Your Picnic

What to Wear

We recommend wearing attire that you’ll be comfortable sitting in. Whether that’s slacks, shorts, or a dress, just make sure it’s an appropriate fit and length that will be easy for you to be sitting down in since you’ll be seated at your picnic.

We also recommend considering the fabric of your outfit as you’ll be outdoors the entire time, which means you may experience wind or heat. Spring and summer picnics are great for loose-fitting and lightweight fabrics like linen or cotton, while fall and winter picnics will call for warmer materials. You’ll also want to be mindful of the time of day your picnic is occurring; a morning or evening picnic will be cooler than one in the midafternoon and you’ll want to dress accordingly.

In general, there is no required attire for our picnics. You should wear what you feel comfortable in. For an idea though, most of our guests wear semi-casual and semi-formal attire.

What to Bring

Games

Your picnic will include various items as mentioned above. You’re welcome to also bring any games of your choice as well. Games that do not include small or lightweight pieces are best, as a gust of wind could upheave any game pieces. Card games, checkers, and chess are all great game options to bring.

Additional Beverages

All picnics come with chilled sparkling mineral water, but if you’d like to bring additional beverages of your choice, you are welcome to do so. Keep in mind that we provide champagne flutes for sparkling water, so if your beverage is better suited for another glass, we recommend bringing those as well.

Food

You are welcome to order food like charcuterie or a brunch board through us, or you may bring your own food as well. If you plan to bring your own food, we recommend bringing the food in Tupperware so you can easily store the leftovers when you’ve finished. You’ll also want to bring your own cutlery as that is only provided if you order food through us.

SPF and Sunglasses

You may also want to consider bringing your own SPF and sunglasses since the picnic is outdoors for two hours.
