Surprise Picnic Proposal in the Rose Garden
A young man contacted us in July wanting to plan a proposal picnic to serve as the romantic backdrop for asking his girlfriend to marry him. We were honored to be a part of this monumental day so we started planning right away!
Part of our process is to better understand the couple and their history. In our meeting with the young man, he mentioned that when he and his girlfriend first started dating, she said she wanted photos of her proposal. He asked that one of our event planners take photos on her cell phone, but we decided to surprise this young couple with complimentary professional photos with some help from some friends!
We put out a call on Instagram to see if any local photographers would be willing to help with this surprise, and Sarah of S.H. Emory Photography and Ava of Mirage Media & Video graciously offered to gift this young couple photos and a video of the proposal.
We were truly blown away by their kindness to gift their services to a couple they’d never even met before!
When the day of the proposal came, it was a quiet and serene morning in the Raleigh Rose Garden. Sarah and Ava were complete professionals and showed up an hour early to ensure everything was in position for them to capture the ask discreetly. When the young man knelt down on one knee and asked his girlfriend to marry him. She happily said “yes” and this unforgettable moment was captured in the most beautiful way by Sarah and Ava.
