Falling for Local at Dorothea Dix Park

Celebrate all things Autumn at the Falling for Local at Dorothea Dix Park Fall Festival on Saturday, October 15, 2022. Held in the Big Field in Dix Park, this is a family-friendly event that will feature live music, a local makers pop-up market, food trucks, hayrides, lawn games, and more. There will also be a free pumpkin patch with 1,000 pumpkins!
Presented by the City of Raleigh Parks, Shop Local Raleigh, Recreation and Cultural Resources, and Dix Park Conservancy, this is a free event and everyone is welcome — including dogs! Tickets are not required, but the park is asking that you register to help them plan for how many will be in attendance. Registering will also allow the park to contact you with event updates, including inclement weather updates.

The Big Field at Dix Park, 1010 Blair Drive, Raleigh, NC 27603
Parking is free and is available in lots near the field. Shuttles will be available for on-site parking lots over 1/4 miles from the event area. Review this map for public parking areas throughout the park.

Registration
The event is free and does not require a ticket to enter, however, the park is asking that you register in order to help them plan. You can register here.
Biking to the Event
Ride your bike via the Rocky Branch Greenway or Centennial Bikeway Connector.
Other Information
Dogs are permitted, but the event is expected to be crowded and loud. All dogs should be leashed and well-behaved in crowds.
Close-toed shoes are recommended because of the uneven surfaces within the Big Field.
You can bring in your own food and non-alcoholic beverages.
Water refill stations will be at the event.
A handful of Port-a-johns will be on site. ADA-accessible facilities will also be included.
Should there be inclement weather, the park will notify through Eventbrite (be sure to RSVP so you receive this notification) and through on their Facebook Event.
